Gustav Borehed

Gustav Borehed is a tap dancer and performer. Born and raised in Örebro - Sweden, where he started approach the arts primarily through music and dance. At the age of 19 he moved to Gothenburg to  study at “Performing Arts School” (2011-2014), owned and lead by Ran Hamilton. Right after he moved to Barcelona - Spain, for the “Professional Tap Training Program (2014-2015) at Escola Luthier d’Arts Musical, under the direction of Guillem Alonso. During this period he participated in the Coco Comin Tap Company, under the direction of Sharon Lavi. He also took additional classes with Roxane Butterfly and had the opportunity to perform with her at different occasions. Summer 2018 he participated the full three weeks at Heather Cornells Tap Labs. 
Gustav is a proud member of ”3c Tap Fellows”, a tap group based in Barcelona, Spain. His current curriculum includes; ”Crazy For You” at the Gothenburg Opera; ”Moustache, The Rhythm Musical” at Teatre Apolo in Barcelona; The Mysterious Shadow”, a collaboration project with the swedish puppetry art theatre Teater Sesam and the japanese theatre group Setagaya Silk. He has been choreographing and co-directing the concert Project:Examination” alongside the string quartet Malvakvartetten. He was invited by Roxane Butterfly to dance as a part of the documentary ”The Origins of Music”.
Gustav is giving regular classes at schools around the Gothenburg area in Sweden and regularly travels to give master classes in tap and body percussion. He's performing on a regular basis and is currently writing and processing his first tap project called ”All Of Me”.

In January 2016 Gustav received the award ”Hjalmar Berglund Revystipendium”.
