Joana Serranho

Joana was born in Lisbon, Portugal, where she started at the national conservatory of dance (2000) with a contact of several areas of dance such as ballet, contemporary, tap dance and others. She resumed her tap dance in 2010 with Raquel Almeida in a more intense way, in 2011 she received the first scholarship by the dancer Cristina Delius, director of the Tap Beat Center (Berlin), and it was there that she began her training at an international level in workshops and Festivals in Europe: Tap Beat (Berlin) 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2018 with teachers Jason Samuels Smith, Cristina Delius, Cartier Williams and Joseph Wiggan. in 2014 she participated in Stockholm Tap Festival, in 2015 she participated in the festival Tap on Barcelona where it conquered the 1st place of the cutting contest, receiving scholarship for the following year. In 2016 and 2017 participated in festival Jazz Roots (Paris) to complement the formation in vintage Jazz. She performs as a tap dancer invited to the shows with some jazz bands of Lisbon. Since 2014 she teaches beginning and intermediate tap dance adults at SwingStation School, and tap dancing Kids at Dancespot School, both located in Lisbon.
